Street Outreach
We regularly run street outreaches in the local community to provide children access to support, build relationships and provide emergency medical care and food as needed.
To date, we have provided 562 weekly food packages to families, 123 emergency rental assistance payments, 171 outreaches in the local community, and covered the cost of 36 major medical emergencies and many small ones. (All our medical emergencies and support are covered by local hospitals and medical centres by licenced professionals)
We find that outreach in the local community helps us to build relationships with the kids and hear their stories. We aim to continue our outreach in the future both in Bwaise slum and on the streets of Kampala.
