Our next goal is to buy land and build a home and farm in Uganda. Our aim is to jump straight to building a traditional African homestead that will work towards self sustainability right out of the gate. Instead of renting a western style home and all the expenses that come along with that (Rent, electricity, water) we have decided it is more sustainable over the long term to build a homestead and create our own organic farm.

We can build a small home to start and expand over time. We believe this will enable the home to be more self sustainable over the long term and keep expenses low. This enables us to pour more of your donated funds into the local community, our families and children living in street situations.

We estimate the cost to purchase 1 acre of land will be around the $10,000 AUD mark. We may need to add a little to this to cover any expenses included with the sale. We are aiming for around $10-$13K.
